Nestled on the shores of Lake Benmore next to the A2O lies Sailors Cutting, a campsite with decades of memories.  One of the most popular camping sites in Waitaki, Sailors Cutting sells out at the beginning of the camping season, families that have camped here for generations purchasing their annual camping permits within minutes of them being available.

The recent addition of the A20 section from Sailors Cutting to the Benmore Dam has allowed even more adventurers to experience this slice of paradise. 

Sailors Cutting is only 80 minutes drive away from Oamaru, and a short drive to Omarama for supplies, so a great base to be used to explore the Waitaki Valley and Lindis Pass.

Anatini
