Duntroon Wetlands
Take a walk around the track created by the local Duntroon community
The Wetlands are a haven for local wildlife. Fed by springs at the western side, the wetlands are home to birds, fish, and amphibians, as well as countless species of plantlife.
The Duntroon Wetlands are accessible via a path behind the Duntroon Goal. Created and maintained by a dedicated group of locals, under the auspices of the Duntroon and District Development Association, the wetlands are an environmental asset for generations to come.
Pupils from the Duntroon School have helped the project by planting native plants that complement the wetlands.
The committee acknowledges the invaluable support of Meridian Energy at every step of the project and Geoff and Jan Keeling who farm the adjoining property.
Call in sometime and do the loop from the township and back.
