Walk along the Cape to see stunning views across Oamaru to the Kakanui Mountains.
The Cape Wanbrow walking track (part of the South Hill walkway) offers magnificent coastal views as well as the chance for visitors to see a former gun emplacement. You can bring the dog for a walk or if biking is more your thing the cape offers mountain bike tracks as well.

At the eastern side of the Cape, you’ll have unspoiled views of the South Pacific Ocean, Humpback Whales have been spotted breaching off these shores so keep your eyes open!
At the far east, a path leads down to the beach where Pillow Lava can be seen, a testament to the Capes explosive past. Take care on these paths as they can be slippery!
